How Many Moderators Do I need?

A good rule of thumb is to have one moderator for every 100 registered users. If you have unregistered users that are allowed to make comments or edit content, you will need to adjust the number of moderators you have.

Larger sites, like Wikipedia, are "self-moderating" for several reasons. The main reason is that the number of users is almost the same as the number of articles on the website.

One issue that you may have is that users that create accounts may not get the email that is sent from the wiki. Since this email contains their temporary password, they will never be able to log in without that email.
